Your favorite Egotastic writer (me) was front and center at the AVN Awards this past Saturday in Las Vegas, and let me tell you, this thing was wild from start to finish. Think the Oscars, but spicier… a lot spicier.

The red carpet was lit as the biggest names in adult entertainment strutted their stuff at the Virgin Hotel, showing off outfits that would make even the Met Gala blush.

Hosting duties went to comedian Steph Tolev and adult stars Blake Blossom and Alex Knight, while Jason DeRulo turned up as the musical guest, giving the crowd a show they’ll never forget (though Iggy Azalea set a high bar last year).

Anna Claire Clouds Took Home the Big One

The biggest win of the night? Female Performer of the Year went to Anna Claire Clouds, who absolutely stole the show in a sheer lace bustier paired with a white satin skirt that screamed Old Hollywood meets Vegas glam. Maitland Ward, yes, that Maitland Ward from Boy Meets World, scooped up Best Actress in a Featurette. She hit the red carpet in a skintight purple satin dress with a thigh high slit, looking like she just knew she was going to take home an award.

The 47 year old is no stranger to the awards circuit, fresh off another win at the XBIZ XMAs. She’s gone from sitcoms to steamy films, and judging by her ever growing trophy shelf, she’s owning it.

Angela White decided to keep things modest, well, modest by AVN standards. She rocked a floor length, long sleeved black gown with a high neck. Translation: you’ll have to pay to see more. Smart move, Angela.

Feuds and Fan Favorites

Co-host Blake Blossom, who could honestly moonlight as a motivational speaker, opened up about the hustle behind the scenes. Apparently, this isn’t just a “show up, do your thing, and get a check” kind of industry—it’s competitive. “I joked that I wanted to collect every award like Pokémon,” Blake said.
