Denise Welch has launched a scathing attack on a local council after she accused them of refusing to collect her son’s rubbish. The incident has since gone viral, leading Denise to take down the post.
Ex-Loose Women star Denise, 67, has been locked in a bitter battle with Brent Council over the incident, which has since racked up thousands of likes. Fans have since gone on to speculate whether Denise is referring to her son Matty Healy from The 1975.
Now, more and more details surrounding the incident have come to light, as she alleged that a binman had insulted her son. She later went on to provide an update that she and the council were now locked in negotiations.

According to the Sun, former Celebrity Big Brother star Denise took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to call out Brent Council over its alleged refusal to take her child’s bins. Already livid, she revealed that she had been trying to reach out for three weeks to the authority.
“Hi Brent Council,” she wrote whilst tagging the London borough council account. “You haven’t emptied my son’s bins in 3 weeks. Any attempts at due process has failed.
“He tried to talk to a collector who called him a c***!! Can you let me know how we move forward!!!!”
Fans of the ex-Corrie actress were quick to assume that it could have been son Matty Healy, frontman of The 1975 who was being allegedly insulted. However, she also shares a second son, Louis, with former Benidorm actor Tim Healy; it is unknown which of the two sons she was referring to.

In response to the post, a spokesperson from the local authority responded: “Hi Denise, we are very sorry to hear about your son’s experience. If you could DM us the address, we will look into this as a matter of urgency.”
Denise would eventually take the initial post down, before posting an update to her social media confirming that the council was now looking into the incident. She went on to thank those who shared messages of concern, and admitted that some comments had “made her laugh”.
One comment which saw her respond with crying with laughter emojis was: “Matty doesn’t deserve such a devoted and dedicated mother like Denise. You can see the spirit of Queen Elizabeth glistening in her eyes.”
She even poked fun at the press as she interpreted the potential press fallout from her run-in with the council. She drew a mock-up of a BBC News presenter with the headline scrawled across the bottom: “Denise Welch in bin-gate scandal”.

Denise has been incredibly open on her relationships with her children, including with indie singer Matty. She admitted that her connection with the artist is “insanely close”, with Matty writing some of the band’s biggest songs about her.
Speaking on their smash hit She Lays Down, Matty revealed that he wrote the song on his mum’s battle with post-natal depression. “It doesn’t get much more personal than that,” he explained to NME.
“I’m sure my mum won’t mind me saying this, but she told me a story when I was about 17, she was so gripped by post-natal depression that she was coming into my room when I was a couple of months old, lying on the floor and actively trying to love me,” he added. “That is brutal — especially considering how close me and my mum are. We are like, insanely close.”
