Christine McGuinness has revealed she could be heading for a ‘lavender marriage’ with her famous friend. The star spoke exclusively to Daily Star at the BAFTA TV Awards which took place on Sunday (May 10th) in London.
The telly personality, 38, stood alongside close pal and podcast co-host Will Njobvu, as the pair opened up about their playful pact during a recent chat at a red carpet event.
The reality star, who has become a regular fixture on the entertainment circuit, shared the light-hearted idea alongside Will, who joked he sees himself as a “red carpet matchmaker” when it comes to setting Christine up with potential love interests. This follows Christine’s split with presenter Paddy McGuinness in 2022, and rumours of her now dating boxer Nicola Adams.

However, Christine insisted she was “single” and Will declared that he was determined to make sure she finds love, adding there have already been “gossip going around” about possible suitors.
He quipped: “I either work on those potentials, or I find her someone else. GK Barry’s taken, that was my original pick for Christine, but she’s a hot girl so she always has options.”
Laughing, he added: “I’m basically a red carpet matchmaker. That’s on my CV 100%.”
The pair’s conversation then turned even more tongue-in-cheek as they discussed their own friendship and future plans, with Christine joking they’ve discussed a “lavender marriage” scenario.

“We get on so well, we’ve literally said we’re planning a lavender marriage,” Christine said, with Will agreeing enthusiastically.
A lavender marriage is a marriage of convenience between a man and a woman, where one or both partners are not heterosexual.
He added: “We’d wing it together. You help me when I want to get another guy, I help you with the kids. It can be an open situation, we’re just winging it. We should do it.”
Christine echoed the sentiment, confirming: “Yeah, we do.”
